SLEEPWALK

Trust as a balancing act that takes places in somnambulistic tranquillity

It can happen that one may enter into a conversation with a sleepwalker although the affected person is in a state of deep sleep. If a sleepwalker is awoken suddenly he may become confused, scared and stumble. As a rule, it’s best to gently guide the sleepwalker back to bed.

DANCE CHAPEAU
(pas de deux)

With Oko Sokolo the hat refuses to stay firmly planted on the head but wanders over the face, shoulder, arms and legs.
It’s the magnet, the connecting thread and most important piece of clothing
„Dance Chapeau“ is both a humorous and serious dance-acrobatic piece, a game about power and possession that never fails to win over the audience.

Oko Sokolo dance and interpret the eternal charade that is played out night after night in a cloud of smoke namely the search for a partner for just a few hours or for life. Humourous and sexy, this flirtatious number lasts exactly the duration of a lit cigarette

A hommage to the freak in the human and the human in the freak.
This scene seduces the viewer into the filmworld of Tim Burton,to the wandering curiousity shows of the early 1900’s and the travelling circus world of Barnum & Ringling Bros..
The story tells of an outcast from society, an alien whose abnormality is put on display for all to see.
Edward appeals to the essence of what it means to be human: humanity.

The tightrope dance isn’t just another circus number but a parable for the narrow path upon which we all walk and it’s accompanying risks.
Sometimes we are in control of the situation, other times we’re at fate’s mercy and struggle desperately to regain balance and sovereignity
Une danse sur le fil de la vie, a dance on the edge of life, high tempo’d, risk-laden and yet still poetic.

Once somebody sat here who I liked a lot. One can just about make out the impression and feel the warmth his body left behind .

MATADOR
(ante solo)

Ante Ursić juggles in Matador a dark,elegant and poetic story for which he was awarded the audience prize at the Variety Festival Feux de la Rampe.
Matador isn’t a hommage to a macabre sport but of the struggle between man and "the bull inside"; a fight with his own doubts, fears and inner contradictions.
